Periodic Table of Toa

Adorned the Lightweight Champion of Onu-Koro, Aserris boasts highly specialized armor, his very element flowing through its chambers. Though he needs to constantly generate a supply of helium in order to keep his bodysuit agile, the hulking mass sourrounding his upper-torso combined with his swift and agile movement, makes Aserris one of the best fighters on the island of Mata-Nui. But outside the ring, Aserris stays away from the crowds. Nobody has even seen him without his armor. Is that even his real head?

Pūhiko, the lightweight Toa of lithium, is described as strong, but often reckless by his teammates. Although he might not always take care of himself, and he doesn’t really care about planning his missions, he is greatly appreciated by his team.

Tongi the Wood-Weaver leaves nutrient-rich soil in her footsteps to nurture her buried army of plant soldiers, then guides them to action with green bursts from her firework drum Toa Tool.

Masquering as a naïve forest priestess, Tongi uses the justice-driven Hāora to remove obstacles to her future rule.

Daughter of the bearer of the mask of creation. Takes her role seriously and only misuses her density control sometimes.

Holding sway over the building blocks of organic life, yet rusting under her own power, Hāora the Ronin feels called to purify the wicked: Toa who’d use their periodic element gifts for evil.

A bamboo blade gifted by Tongi lets Hāora tirelessly draw forth oxygen to wield via her respirator Toa Tool.

Aloran, Toa of magnesium boasts an extremely lightweight and aerodynamic frame, optimised for speed and manoeuvrability. Aloran prefers to keep their hands free, using their forearm thrusters to project blindingly bright white flames at incredible temperatures. To those who think this Toa could simply be extinguished with water will soon find a rather explosive reaction.

A domineering Toa of Phosphorus, Eos has eschewed every honor granted her by the Turaga council, preferring to live her life in motion as she travels from island to island searching for those in need. Often entering battle with a flaming headbutt as she drops from the sky, her explosive powers have caused her to shun the use of a traditional Toa tool—“I’m enough,” she says simply.

A fast-moving, versatile Toa who’s always one step ahead! Don't mind the oxidation, he just hangs around Hāora too much.

Fragiles Mei, In Fumis Sanctificemini

Toa Bromo was once member of a Toa team, as is customary, but departed into self-imposed exile when it became clear he could not prevent his powers from harming all those around him, allies included. His former teammates never heard from him again.

Decades after Bromo disappeared into the wilds of the Southern Continent, rumors began to spread about a Matoran cult known as ‘The Brittle Ones’. They worship a mysterious preacher whose mere presence brings weakness and frailty, and whose coming is heralded by a horrid stench…

Bromo, Toa of Bromine was built for the Periodic Table of Toa collab (amazing work everyone!). I only found out well after picking Bromine and finishing my build that this element was first discovered and isolated in 1825 in the same town where I was born!

Bromine is a super interesting substance—it is stinky and toxic and highly volatile. It evaporates almost instantly at room temperature, so if you have an uncorked vial of it, it is constantly fuming—this is what inspired the censer as Bromo’s Toa Tool.

It also has interesting uses with plastic! Bromine is used in some plastics as a fire retardant during manufacturing, and over time brominated plastics will become discoloured. Old white and grey plastic often turns yellow or brownish, with many often blaming direct sunlight or nicotine exposure, however this discolouration can happen to brominated plastics without either. Brominated plastics can also become brittle and weak over time due to this reaction, which is generally accelerated by heat.

Xenon is a noble gas, often used in flash lamps or arc lamps for lasers.

Before the treachery of the Brotherhood of Makuta was revealed, an unkown ambitious Makuta tried to create their own mass produced toa. Einharu and his brothers were the result of these experiments. Mostly robotic shells with radioactive glowing energy pulsating through them, these brave warriors eventually broke free of the Makuta’s control and now appear to aid only those who are brave and full of heart….

Once guardian of the Red Star, this legendary space-equipped Toa has lost his mind and now torments its inhabitants with his flamethrower Toa tool.

A Toa of few words, Oroko protects the great foundry city of Weketerra. From his spire atop the smelting furnace, he watches the web of canyons that grant entry to his domain, teleporting instantly to confront those who approach with his great Kualsi—shaped like the Komau of his predecessor, the legendary Toa of Earth, Granatos. The girders that serve as his Toa tools are built into his arms, granting him mighty strength and the ability to quickly fix damage to his factories.

Iridium is a metal used in spark plugs, OLEDs, and is abundant in meteorites. The Cretaceous-Paleogene boundary in the Earth’s strata is identifiable with its high concentration or Iridium, which was likely spread globally by the asteroid impact that killed off the non-avian dinosaurs.

Devoured by their own greed, merged into one without any remaining sense of self. They are victims of their own fate, forever under thrall to their supplier.

Leagues beneath the silver sea, the gross mockery of what once was a Toa squirms through the depths...

morality ends where a gun begins

Nitan, the Toa of Radon, uses his great spear to dig through hard rocks and cliffs, to summon his lethal gas from deep underground.

Mutated by his radioactive element, this four-armed Toa wields a demon core and oversized screwdriver. Blowing up at the slightest provocation, he's ready to go nuclear!

A bombastic Toa with more firepower than sense. He shoots first and asks questions last!

Californium is a synthetic element with a silvery-white color, and it has uses in nuclear reactors. It was named after the University of California.

Dubnium is a synthetic element, first discovered by Soviet scientists in 1968. The element is highly radioactive, and has a half life of about 16 hours.

Unstable, but tough where it counts! This Toa is proof to go beyond your limitations!
